Chris leads Lam Partners’ Washington DC Studio with a passionate focus on serving clients in their respective lighting needs and aspirations. Working as a collaborative team player in developing elegant design products that strive for transcendence and sustainability, Chris views the design process and end product as an interdependent relationship that requires rigorous design scrutiny from beginning to end. With some 28 years working primarily as a designer, manager, and technician, Chris has a rich knowledge base in the world of lighting design. With a foundation as an architect, Chris approaches design problems as welcome opportunities to explore formal, meaningful, and/or pragmatic issues expressed or manifested with light. Working closely with a variety of clients, Chris has worked on many award winning world class projects over the past three decades. Art Museums, History Museums, Civic Memorials, Corporate Offices, Speculative Office Buildings, Government Office and Research facilities, Medical Care and Research facilities, Restaurants, Retail, Gardens, Outdoor Sculpture, Private Residences, and Prototypical Experiments.
