About me
Sara is part of SmithGroup’s Midwest Cultural Studio where she leads integrated design teams in delivering projects for cultural institutions. Before joining SmithGroup, she spent 14 years on the operations team at The Art Institute of Chicago and two years in museum construction management consulting. During her career, Urizar has been involved in numerous high-profile cultural and performing arts projects for clients, including The Art Institute of Chicago, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, and Joslyn Art Museum. When at the Art Institute, Sara was the museum’s lead on the vibration monitoring program for the Modern Wing addition.
