About me
Roark is a lifelong Chicagoan who has worked in the construction and project management fields for over 40 years. As an "Owner's Representative," he has been involved in the development of several Chicago civic institutions and cultural organizations, including the Spertus Institute of Jewish Learning & Leadership, the Poetry Foundation, the Media Production Center at Columbia College Chicago and several donor enhancements to the city's Millennium Park, including the Crown Fountain and "the Bean." Since 2016, Roark has been an employee of the Obama Foundation and is currently their Director of Planning & Delivery. His tenure started mid-way through the architectural selection process and Roark has been involved in the Obama Presidential Center from its earliest planning. When not involved in the day-to-day business of the OPC, Roark enjoys hiking and camping.
