Since 1996, Dr. Kym Rice has held numerous positions in the Museum Studies department at George Washington University, most recently as Director and Associate Professor, before retiring in 2022. A historian, curator, and long-time exhibition developer, she has worked with museums and historical organizations around the country, garnering awards for several exhibitions. Dr. Rice served as a member of the dean's council of the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, receiving the college's annual award for graduate mentoring in 2019. She also served on the board of the Sandy Spring Museum and as a council member of the Virginia Association of Museum Council.
