About me
Kate Macuen has been both a museum administrator and collections steward for almost 20 years, specializing in preventative conservation and source community accessibility. She is the Director of Collections at the Museum of International Folk Art, where she oversees all aspects of registration and collection management for the world’s largest international folk art collection. Prior to relocating to Santa Fe, NM, Macuen worked for the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Tribal Historic Preservation Office and Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum, the Denver Art Museum, and Fort Collins History Museum. She holds a BA in Anthropology from the University of Colorado and an MA in Museum Science from Texas Tech University.
